Publishing Arabic-language eBooks on KDP is currently in beta testing.
KDP accepts Arabic language content only in Microsoft Word (.DOC or DOCX) formats. For the best results, follow the steps below. You can also download our conversion and quality guidelines in Arabic.
What you should know
- Enroll in KDP Select to earn up to 70% royalty on sales, as well as a share of the KDP Select global fund when a customer uses Kindle Unlimited to read your eBook.
- Distribute your eBook to worldwide Kindle stores.
- We're still improving our support for eBooks written in Arabic, but we welcome publishers with Arabic content. You may encounter errors when uploading a manuscript. See Step 4 in the section "How to format your eBook in Word" below for tips.
- If you choose to receive payments via wire transfer to your local bank in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Morocco, you will be paid in local currencies (e.g. Saudi Riyals, Oman Rials, Bahraini Dinars, Kuwaiti Dinars, and Moroccan Dirham).
- Paperback publishing for the Arabic language isn't currently available.

Getting started on KDP
How to format your eBook in Word
KDP accepts Arabic language content only in Microsoft Word (.DOC or DOCX) formats. For the best results, follow the steps below. You can also download our conversion and quality guidelines in Arabic.
Step 1: Format your title pageYour eBook should include a title page with your book title and author name. You can also add other front matter pages like a copyright and dedication page, but these aren’t required. Make sure the information on your title page exactly matches the book details you entered title setup. Mismatches are one of the most common reasons files are rejected. |

Step 3: Create an active table of contentsAn active table of contents is one of the features eBook readers need and expect. Why? Because the table of contents lets them to jump to specific places in the book by clicking on links embedded in the text. eBooks don't have page numbers, and page counts change when the reader adjusts the text size. Step 4: Preview your eBookBefore you upload your eBook to KDP, check out the tips below, and make any necessary updates to your Word file. These tips include the most common reasons Arabic files are rejected. Also see our Help page for details on our quality guidelines.We recommend reviewing your eBook in Kindle Previewer, a desktop application that shows you how your eBook will look on tablets, Kindle E-readers, and phones.
